3005082123-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Tufts Medicine seeks an Associate General Counsel, Healthcare Law to provide strategic legal support across its integrated academic health system. This role advises on healthcare regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters, including fraud and abuse, privacy, reimbursement, and digital health. The attorney will draft and negotiate clinical and vendor agreements, support responses to regulators, and partner with clinical and operational leaders to manage risk. In a mission-driven, patient-first culture, you will help shape innovative care delivery, support community health initiatives, and contribute to training and education across the system. Responsibilities Provide legal counsel on healthcare regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters for Tufts Medicine entities Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and policies related to clinical services, digital health, and community programs Advise on federal and state healthcare laws, including fraud and abuse, privacy, billing, and reimbursement regulations Support responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations, ensuring timely, accurate submissions Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to assess legal risk and develop practical solutions Educate stakeholders on legal and compliance requirements through training and guidance Monitor changes in healthcare law and advise leadership on impacts to strategy and operations Support governance, credentialing, and medical staff matters as needed Required Skills Healthcare regulatory law Contract drafting and negotiation Fraud and abuse (AKS, Stark) compliance HIPAA and data privacy Healthcare reimbursement and billing rules Regulatory investigations and audits Legal research and writing Risk assessment and mitigation Policy development and governance Stakeholder training and education
