Role Description The Litigation Attorney will handle a full caseload of civil litigation matters from intake through resolution, including motion practice and trials. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients, assessing claims, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses, and appearing in Superior, Housing and District Courts. The role involves conducting and defending depositions, managing document review, communicating with opposing counsel, and participating in settlement negotiations and mediations. The attorney will collaborate with colleagues and staff to develop case strategy, maintain accurate case files, and ensure all deadlines and procedural requirements are met. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Foxborough, MA, requiring regular in-person collaboration and court appearances. Qualifications Strong foundation in landlord tenant law, including civil and summary process procedures, evidence, and substantive litigation practice. Proficiency in drafting and arguing Motions, including dispositive and procedural motions. Experience appearing in housing, superior and district courts, managing hearings, and interacting with judges and court staff. Background in conducting Trials, including case preparation, witness examination, and courtroom advocacy. Ability to conduct Depositions, including preparation of outlines, questioning witnesses, and evaluating testimony. Active license to practice law in Massachusetts, in good standing; additional admissions in New Hampshire and Rhode Island is a plus. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and clear communication. Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment. Prior litigation experience is required.
