Job Description
We are looking for an experienced family law attorney to join a respected legal practice in the greater Salem area. This position is ideal for a licensed attorney who is confident handling sensitive domestic relations matters and guiding clients through complex legal proceedings. The role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload that includes negotiations, courtroom appearances, and document preparation in a fully on-site environment.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law matters such as divorce proceedings, prenuptial agreements, custody-related disputes, and other domestic relations cases.
- Prepare, review, and file legal documents including motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery materials with a high level of accuracy.
- Advocate for clients during court appearances, motion hearings, and other contested proceedings.
- Lead and participate in mediation sessions and settlement discussions to help resolve matters efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies that support favorable outcomes for clients.
- Manage an active caseload independently while maintaining clear communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Assess case developments, advise clients on legal options, and provide practical counsel throughout each stage of representation.
