Rudolf, Griffis, Ruggieri & Murray, LLP (formerly Rudolf Smith), a Worcester, Massachusetts law firm, is seeking an experienced Family Law & Probate/Trust Litigation Paralegal to support a seasoned attorney whose practice is dedicated to Massachusetts probate and family law. The firm's attorneys manage full, active caseloads, and a paralegal who can step in with minimal ramp-up time and immediately contribute at a high level is preferred. This role is ideal for a paralegal who thrives working in close partnership with an experienced litigator, brings real subject-matter depth in family law and probate matters, and takes ownership of deadlines, filings, and client communication without needing close supervision. The right candidate will primarily support one of the firm's family law attorneys, with occasional support to other attorneys in the family law and probate practice as workload requires. Key Responsibilities Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and court-required financial statements for Massachusetts Probate & Family Court matters. Prepare and submit filings through the Massachusetts e-filing system (eFileMA/MassCourts) in compliance with Probate & Family Court procedures, local rules, and filing deadlines. Manage the attorney's professional calendar, including case deadlines, client meetings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances. Coordinate trial and hearing preparation, including organizing exhibits, filings, and logistics. Communicate directly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Conduct legal and factual research related to family law and probate/trust litigation matters. Track case deadlines and statutory filing requirements to keep matters moving without missed dates. Provide backup support to other attorneys in the firm's family law and probate practice as needed. What We're Looking For 5-10+ years of experience as a paralegal in family law and probate/trust litigation, with the ability to work independently from day one. Working knowledge of Massachusetts Probate & Family Court forms, procedures, and filing requirements. Hands-on proficiency with MyCase (or comparable case management software), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams), Adobe Acrobat, and the Massachusetts e-filing system (eFileMA/MassCourts). Demonstrated experience preparing pleadings, discovery responses, and court financial statements with minimal oversight. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and move seamlessly between competing deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in client-facing situations. Knowledge of a foreign language is a plus.
