Job Description
The law firm is seeking an associate with at least 4-5 years of experience in trusts and estates, business law, or real estate law.
We are looking for someone with a level of expertise to handle sophisticated estate planning, oversee administration of trusts, and lead probate proceedings from initial filing to final distribution.
Candidates must have empathy and patience as you will be working with people at their most vulnerable.
In addition to trusts and estates, our firm has a broad mix of business law and commercial real estate matters; experience in one or both of those areas would be a plus. You also must be licensed in Maryland. The position is in-office, and full-time or part-time would be possible, depending on the candidate.
SkillsExtensive knowledge of estate planning, business law, real estate law.
Knowledge of legal document systems such as Clio and Microsoft Suite.
Proven experience in legal research using LexisNexis.
Strong skills in sophisticated estate planning, overseeing administration of trusts, and leading probate proceedings from initial filing to final distribution.
Effective client communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail and organizational standards.
