The salary quoted includes immediate incentives to reach $85,000-$100,000 in salary annually. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful courtroom experience, direct client responsibility, and close mentorship from an immigration lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. The associate will initially handle routine hearings, client preparation, motions, evidence development, and case follow-up. As experience and performance grow, the associate will receive increasing responsibility for removal-defense and other immigration matters from start to finish. Responsibilities Represent clients at master-calendar, bond, and other immigration-court hearings Assist with detained and nondetained removal matters Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and interviews Draft motions, briefs, declarations, and supporting documents Assemble and review evidence packets and court filings Conduct legal research Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients Maintain deadlines, calendars, notes, and case records Cover remote and in-person hearings Manage assigned cases from intake through completion as experience develops Work closely with the supervising attorney on complex matters Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Strong legal writing, organization, and client-communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active matters Genuine interest in immigration law and removal defense Professional judgment, reliability, and attention to detail Willingness to appear in immigration court and work with detained clients Immigration-law experience, courtroom experience, and Spanish-language ability are preferred but not required.
