Job Description

A well-established and growing law firm in the Kansas City area is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate with 2+ years of litigation experience to join its collaborative and highly respected team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a long-term career handling sophisticated construction-related disputes while working alongside experienced litigators in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
Represent owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers in a variety of construction-related disputes. Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. Draft and argue motions, prepare legal memoranda, and conduct legal research. Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings. Collaborate with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy and deliver practical legal solutions.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Missouri license (Kansas license or ability to obtain is a plus). 2+ years of litigation experience , with construction litigation experience preferred. Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Experience managing case files and communicating directly with clients.
