Job Description

An established and highly regarded family law firm in the Chapel Hill area is seeking confident, litigation-ready Family Law Attorney with at least 2 years of family law experience to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to step into a busy, well-supported practice with immediate case responsibility. It is ideal for an attorney who can operate with minimal training and hit the ground running. The firm consists of 4 attorneys and a strong support staff, offering the infrastructure you need to focus on practicing law. Why This Role Stands Out Consistent, high-quality caseload (no business development pressure required) Established firm with a phenomenal reputation True autonomy - trusted to manage cases independently Supportive team environment with experienced staff handling the heavy lifting Hybrid work schedule flexibility Clear path to high earnings and long-term growth What You'll Be Doing Independently manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution Handle divorce, child custody, support, domestic violence, and related litigation Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations Provide direct, hands-on client counsel (this is not a back-office role) Work closely with paralegals and staff to move cases efficiently and effectively What You Bring 2+ years of direct family law experience (required) Demonstrated ability to handle cases with minimal oversight Comfort in court and confidence managing hearings and negotiations Active license and good standing with the North Carolina Bar Strong client-facing skills and ability to build trust quickly Highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable Preferred (But Not Required) Board Certified Specialist in Family Law Experience handling complex or high-conflict cases Existing ties to the Triangle market or referral network Compensation & Benefits Base Salary +
Commission Structure Total Compensation:
