Associate Attorney - North Carolina Hutchens Law Firm Hutchens Law Firm is seeking a motivated and driven Associate Attorney to join our growing team in North Carolina. In this role, you will represent clients in a wide variety of legal matters across State and Federal Courts, gaining valuable experience in litigation and diverse practice areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop courtroom experience, strengthen legal writing skills, and grow within a collaborative and established firm. Position Overview As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with a team of experienced attorneys to manage cases from inception through resolution, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client service. Key Responsibilities Attend and participate in court proceedings, including trials, motion hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda of law, and appellate briefs Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in the applicable state (North Carolina) Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze and interpret complex legal and business documents Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills & Experience Strong oral advocacy skills Experience in legal writing, including pleadings and appellate work Our Culture At Hutchens Law Firm, we value professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
