JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive case management services for families with preschool children 3-5 years of age in the area of Family Services; The caseload is dependent on the size of the center. Complete home visits as required by program option served Assist families in developing a Family Partnership Agreement Provide direct, short-term crisis intervention Provide home visits as determined by option requirement Guide parents in developing activities which are sensitive to child and family goals Take the lead in facilitating Parent and Family Experiences, facilitating the involvement of other staff responsible for these opportunities. Proactively partner with Head Start in providing joint services to families Be familiar with and follow Head Start Performance Standards Be responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of Head Start families, partnering with Head Start staff to complete ERSEA functions for center worksite Be responsible for the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement requirements Assure completion of health and dental requirements and document all follow-ups Be responsible for timely record keeping Arrange both formal and informal staffing of children/families with appropriate staff as needed Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and staffing Attend all component meetings and workshops and/or conferences that are assigned Participate in and network with community and county agencies within the centers' service area; required to sit on at least one community committee. Develop career goals for yourself and work towards these goals Coordinate work schedule to meet the specific needs of families; this may include some evenings and/or weekends Adhere to GCA Code of Ethics as a guiding practice Demonstrated skill in utilizing computer software such as e-mail, Microsoft Word, along with the ability to complete program forms on-line Other duties and responsibilities as required
