Job Description

Ley Law is a growing North Carolina law firm with offices in Greenville, Goldsboro, Smithfield, and Wilson. We pride ourselves on delivering great legal representation in criminal defense, family law, and personal injury. Our attorneys are backed by a structured and collaborative support system, ensuring that each client receives diligent, compassionate, and effective advocacy. We are seeking a motivated and organized Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and is committed to client service and firmwide collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload in your assigned practice area. Serve as lead or supporting counsel in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials. Develop case strategy and communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff. Supervise and collaborate with assigned case managers and legal assistants. Maintain thorough documentation in MyCase, including all communications, tasks, and deadlines. Participate in department meetings and contribute to team-wide strategy discussions. Ensure compliance with firm procedures, including confidentiality, ethics, and trust account rules.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in North Carolina. Experience preferred, but recent graduates with strong advocacy skills are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail. Professional demeanor in all interactions—with clients, colleagues, and courts.
Work Environment:
Ley Law operates primarily in-office to maintain collaboration, accountability, and client service excellence. Attorneys are expected to appear in court regularly and work within their assigned territorial offices. Occasional travel between offices or counties may be required. Full-time Pay:
$60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
