Job Description

Job Summary The General Counsel for Rees Family Office will serve as the primary legal advisor, providing comprehensive legal support to the Family Office and its affiliated companies. This role involves overseeing legal matters, ensuring compliance, and facilitating strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage advanced AI tools to efficiently draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring legal integrity and alignment with business objectives. Responsibilities Provide expert legal counsel to Rees Family Office and its supported companies on a wide range of legal issues. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, utilizing cutting-edge AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all business activities. Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Collaborate with internal teams to support strategic initiatives and operational needs from a legal perspective. Manage relationships with external legal counsel when specialized expertise is required. Stay current on relevant legal developments affecting family offices, private investments, and related industries. Develop internal policies and procedures to promote best practices in legal compliance and governance. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution. Proven experience in corporate law, family office operations, or private wealth management. Strong proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts. Demonstrated ability to leverage advanced AI tools for legal document management and negotiations is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of applicable laws governing family offices, trusts, estate planning, and private investments is preferred. Pay:
$135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
