Corporate Attorney (Transactional / M&A) | Portsmouth, NH | 3-5+ Years Experience | NH Bar Required A leading Northern New England business and litigation law firm, is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join its busy Corporate Practice Group in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This attorney will work alongside a high-performing team of lawyers and professionals, providing practical, business-oriented representation to business, nonprofit, and individual clients across a wide range of corporate and transactional matters. The firm is one of the largest in Northern New England, attracting sophisticated, high-value work from national, regional, and local companies and individuals. Its culture centers on service — to clients, community, colleagues, and the profession — and it maintains a strong tradition of civic leadership, with attorneys serving as jurists, bar association leaders, and board members for major nonprofits and charitable organizations.
Qualifications:
Active admission to the New Hampshire Bar 3-5+ years of relevant corporate law / transactional experience M&A (mergers and acquisitions) and general business transactions experience preferred, but not required Superior legal writing skills Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Sound business and legal judgment; strong team player
What You'll Do:
Provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel on corporate transactions, business formation, and general corporate matters Support mergers and acquisitions and other transactional work Collaborate closely with attorneys and professionals across the Corporate Practice Group Advise business, nonprofit, and individual clients on a broad range of commercial legal matters
