Job Description

Associate Attorney (Minimum 2 Years' Experience) - Landlord-Tenant, Commercial Litigation & Real Estate Join Our Growing Law Office We are looking for a motivated Associate Attorney with at least two years of litigation experience to join our growing law office. Our practice focuses primarily on commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters, commercial litigation, and real estate. We represent landlords, property owners, developers, management companies, investors, and businesses in a wide range of matters involving leases, real estate disputes, contract claims, real estate transactions, and title and ownership issues. This is a position for an attorney who wants to actually practice law, get into court, deal directly with clients, and take responsibility for cases. You will not be sitting on the sidelines. Our associates regularly appear in court, handle matters from beginning to end, communicate directly with clients, and work closely with me and the other attorneys in the office. There will be significant responsibility, but you will also have hands-on guidance and mentorship. I am looking for someone who wants to become a better lawyer and litigator, take ownership of their work, and grow with the law office long term. Responsibilities Handle commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters from inception through resolution. Regularly appear in court for hearings, motions, settlement conferences, and trials. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and legal memoranda. Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy. Handle commercial litigation involving leases, contracts, real estate disputes, and related matters. Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties. Manage an active caseload while working with the attorneys and support staff in the office. Take ownership and responsibility for assigned matters. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in New Jersey. At least two years of litigation experience. Strong writing, research, advocacy, and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and case-management skills. Comfortable appearing in court and dealing directly with clients. Able to work independently in a busy litigation practice. Most importantly, someone who wants to work, learn, take responsibility, and develop as an attorney. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary of $100,000 , with higher compensation available based upon experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability. Comprehensive health insurance benefits. 401(k) retirement plan. Paid time off. Significant and immediate courtroom experience. Direct client contact. Hands-on mentorship and guidance. Opportunity for increased responsibility and long-term growth within the law office. Supportive and collegial work environment. I am looking for someone who wants more than simply a 9-to-5 position. This is an opportunity to get real courtroom experience, handle your own matters, work directly with clients, and develop into a strong attorney and litigator. If that is the type of opportunity you are looking for, we would be happy to speak with you.
