Established (50+ Years) and Growing, Mid-Sized Firm Seeking a Senior Associate/Counsel for Family Law and Civil Litigation in Florham Park, NJ!A growing mid-sized firm based in Florham Park/Union, NJ with over 50 years in practice is seeking a Senior Associate/Counsel with 5+ years of Family Law experience to join their team in Florham Park, NJ!This role will have experience with sophisticated family law matters, general commercial litigation, alternate dispute resolution, premarital and marital agreements, and commercial settlement agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in litigation, advisory, negotiation, and dispute resolution matters.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the New Jersey Bar is requiredAdmission to the New York Bar is strongly preffered5+ years of family law experienceExperience with family law, business law, and general commercial litigation mattersKnowledge of state law and the operational needs of clients involved in complex litigation and advisory mattersMember in good standing with all applicable state barsStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and reasoning skillsSuperb creativity, perseverance, judgment, and problem-solving abilityExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently while maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with peers, clients, and firm leadership
Responsibilities:
Manage and assist with a caseload under Principal supervision involving sophisticated family law matters and general commercial litigationConduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and related proceedingsWork closely with Principals to develop, evaluate, and revise legal strategyDraft and negotiate premarital agreements, marital settlement agreements, and commercial settlement agreementsAdvise clients regarding legal rights, obligations, risks, and strategic optionsPerform legal research and prepare persuasive written work product for litigation, advisory, and negotiation mattersRemain current with changes in applicable law and understand the legal, business, and personal issues involved in client mattersCollaborate with attorneys and firm leadership to deliver high-quality client service and efficient case managementHandle administrative responsibilities related to the practice of law and active matter management
