Associate Attorney (Litigation) A well-established New Jersey litigation firm is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of litigation experience. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated and high-profile matters involving defective products, negligence claims, and consumer protection. Prior product liability experience is not required; however, an interest in developing a practice in this area is preferred. Junior associates are given meaningful responsibility early in their careers, including direct client interaction and courtroom experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage cases from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing motions.
Represent clients in court, settlement negotiations, and arbitration proceedings while providing strategic legal advice.
Conduct legal research on product liability laws, regulations, and case precedent to develop effective legal strategies.
Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including evidence gathering, depositions, and document production.
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing case updates and advising on legal options and potential risks.
Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient case management.
