Real Estate Attorney (In-House, Commercial Real Estate) HumanHire is partnering with a commercial real estate investment and development firm to hire an In-House Real Estate Attorney for a hybrid role (3 days onsite). This is an Associate Counsel-level opportunity seeking a mid-level attorney with 5+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience . The role offers ownership of legal operations across acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and corporate matters . Compensation includes $150,000-$200,000 base salary, discretionary bonus, and full benefits including 4 weeks PTO . Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements , including leases, purchase and sale agreements, service contracts, LOIs, estoppels, and SNDAs Support commercial real estate transactions , including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing Conduct due diligence , including title review, zoning, surveys, and closing documentation Manage lease administration and resolve tenant-related matters Maintain legal documents, contracts, and property records Ensure compliance with regulatory filings, licenses, and corporate requirements Advise leadership on real estate, corporate, and operational legal matters Oversee litigation matters and manage outside counsel Utilize AI and legal technology tools for contract review, compliance, and workflow efficiency Requirements J.D. degree required Admission to practice law in New Jersey 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions , including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing Experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment focused on real estate Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with real estate litigation Knowledge of 1031 exchanges Experience with or interest in AI-assisted legal tools and legal technology Interest in improving legal workflows and contract processes Benefits 4 weeks PTO Paid holidays Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Why this role stands out Opportunity to work as In-House Counsel with ownership of legal operations Hands-on involvement in commercial real estate transactions Direct exposure to leadership and business strategy Ability to implement AI and legal technology tools Apply today to get your profile in front of our team.
