Job Description

Title:
FSC Family Partner Reports to: Program Director Full-Time (minimum of 40 hours per week) Position Overview The Family Partner plays a key role in fostering relationships with families, community members, and partner organizations. This position provides guidance, support, and advocacy to help individuals and families access resources, build connections, and achieve success. Key Responsibilities Engagement & Support Create a welcoming and supportive environment to engage and orient families to the Family Success Center (FSC). Facilitate opportunities for families to connect, participate in activities, and engage in community events. Provide families with timely and accurate information about available programs and services. Assist in designing and maintaining a family-friendly FSC environment. Active Listening & Advocacy Facilitate conversations with families to identify goals, needs, and priorities. Match families with appropriate community resources and FSC services. Support parent involvement and leadership opportunities within the FSC. Assist families with navigating social services, scheduling appointments, and connecting with providers. Resource Coordination Maintain updated knowledge of local resources, including education, housing, employment, and health services. Collaborate with community partners to identify strengths, challenges, and service gaps. Support the development of families' advocacy skills to promote self-sufficiency. Leadership & Skill Building Encourage family participation in volunteer opportunities and advisory meetings. Recognize and build on the skills and talents of families to promote leadership roles within the FSC. Incorporate FSC principles and prevention program standards into daily practice. Continuous Improvement Utilize data to inform decisions, improve services, and track outcomes. Actively contributes to program planning, evaluation, and development of best practices. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field and at least two years of experience in community-based services, prevention programs, or similar work. Equivalent experience may be substituted (30 college credits = 1 year of experience). Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in databases and reporting tools. Valid New Jersey driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation required.
