Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer to oversee all legal and compliance functions within our organization. This role is critical in providing expert legal counsel, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and guiding the company's legal strategy. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, managing complex legal issues and fostering a culture of compliance across all departments. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal counsel on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance. Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Manage all legal matters related to employment law, including employee relations, workplace policies, and employment disputes. Oversee internal investigations related to legal or compliance concerns and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary. Advise senior management on risk management strategies and assist in negotiating significant contracts and agreements. Ensure the organization's adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements by establishing effective compliance programs. Stay current on evolving legal trends and regulatory changes that could impact the organization's operations. Lead training initiatives to promote awareness of legal obligations and ethical standards among staff. Manage the organization's legal budget and oversee external legal service providers. Skills Extensive experience in corporate law with a strong focus on employment law and compliance management. Proven ability to provide sound legal advice in a fast-paced environment while balancing strategic business objectives. Exceptional understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the organization's industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for clear, concise counsel. Demonstrated ability to develop effective policies, procedures, and training programs related to compliance. High ethical standards with integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines. This role is integral for maintaining the organization's legal integrity while supporting sustainable growth through proactive compliance measures.

Pay:

$61,679.43 - $74,280.59 per year
