Our client is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate

•Employment & Labor. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to continue developing their employment and labor litigation practice while working on a range of complex matters. Responsibilities The Litigation Associate will be responsible for supporting and managing employment and labor litigation matters, including: Developing litigation strategies and conducting legal research and analysis. Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents. Handling discovery and preparing for and taking or defending depositions. Appearing in state and federal courts on behalf of clients. Representing clients in arbitrations and administrative proceedings. Handling matters before agencies such as the EEOC and NYSDHR. Preparing for and participating in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, agencies, and other parties. Managing multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work. Working independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff. Qualifications 3-10 years of litigation experience, preferably with experience in employment and labor law. Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Experience handling litigation in both federal and state courts. Experience with arbitrations and administrative proceedings, including the EEOC and NYSDHR. Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery. Experience taking and/or defending depositions. Experience with court appearances, motion practice, mediations, and arbitrations. Strong legal research, analytical, writing, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to think independently, exercise sound judgment, and develop effective litigation strategies. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
