Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Case Coordinator to join our immigration law firm on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for someone who is exceptionally organized, takes initiative, enjoys working with documents and deadlines, and can keep multiple cases moving forward. The Case Coordinator will work closely with attorneys and the legal team to ensure that case files are complete, evidence is properly organized, and important deadlines are identified and met. No paralegal degree or certification is required. We are looking for someone who is intelligent, organized, responsible, and capable of learning our systems and immigration case processes. Responsibilities Review the firm's case calendar regularly and identify upcoming hearings, filing deadlines, appointments, and other important dates. Pull and review case files to ensure that necessary documents and evidence are present and properly organized. Monitor cases for missing evidence, documentation, or other outstanding items. Request and follow up on evidence and documents as needed. Maintain organized electronic and physical case files. Create and maintain case checklists and ensure that required tasks are completed on time. Track deadlines and follow up with attorneys and team members regarding outstanding items. Assist with preparing cases for attorney review, filings, interviews, and hearings. Review case materials for completeness and bring missing or inconsistent information to the attention of the appropriate team member. Help maintain accurate case notes and records. Communicate with clients and/or third parties as needed to obtain documents or information. Coordinate with attorneys and staff to make sure cases remain on schedule. Identify potential issues or approaching deadlines and bring them to the attorney's attention promptly. Perform other case-support and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Extremely detail-oriented and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Strong ability to follow through and make sure tasks are completed. Good written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information. Ability to learn new procedures, software, and immigration case-management systems. Strong computer and document-management skills. Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with the legal team. Prior experience in a law firm, immigration office, legal setting, case management, or a similarly detail-oriented position is preferred but not required. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
