Job Description
Attorney - Insurance Property Claim Coverage - Melville, New York. Review and interpret commercial and residential property insurance policies; draft coverage analyses, opinions, and internal strategy memoranda; collaborate with public adjusters, estimators, and forensic accountants to strengthen claims; provide legal insight and support in preparation for appraisal, mediation, or litigation with outside counsel; anticipate carrier defenses and support proactive case strategy; stay current on New York insurance coverage law and relevant case decisions. Ideal candidate has J.D. from an accredited law school; New York Bar admission required (other states a plus); minimum 4 years' experience in insurance coverage law or property damage litigation; strong legal research, writing, and analysis skills; experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams; alignment with our mission: advocating for policyholders.
