Analyze liability, damages, insurance coverage, and potential defenses.
Conduct investigations and develop litigation strategy.
Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
Conduct and defend depositions.
Appear in court for conferences, hearings, motions, and trials.
Handle discovery and ensure compliance with litigation deadlines.
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations.
Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and courts.
Work closely with senior attorneys on complex litigation strategy.
Maintain an organized and active litigation caseload. QualificationsAdmission to the New York Bar required.3+ years of relevant premises liability defense experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience handling premises liability litigation from inception through resolution.
Experience representing insurance carriers, property owners, businesses, or other defendants.
Strong experience with depositions, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.
Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of liability issues and litigation strategy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced insurance defense environment.
