Job Description

We are a prominent Hudson Valley-based law firm seeking to hire a (Full Time) Lien Resolution Specialist for our Newburgh office. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and case support to our legal team and must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Essential Functions Setting up claims with Medicare, Medicaid, Health Recovery and other lien holders. Maintain accurate and timely follow ups and enter the received information into the system Receive and properly handle incoming Emails, System messages, Faxes and incoming calls and act according to importance and urgency. Expedite attorney's request when dealing with time sensitive matters. Conduct follow up phone calls to ensure completeness of requests and timely retrievals. Be able to interact and work with multiple departments within our system (Attorney, Case Managers, Bookkeeping, Closing Department, Legal departments). Finalize and negotiate liens. Qualifications High school graduate with 3 to 5 years of experience in Personal Injury law and medical experience; or Associates' degree with 2 to 3 years professional office experience; or Bachelor's degree with a legal background; and Prior work experience in Personal Injury Law, No-Fault law, medical and billing (prior experience is a must). Skills and Abilities Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Excellent telephone etiquette, written, interpersonal and organizational skills. Knowledge of No-Fault billing laws and understanding of medical legal terminology Basic understanding of databases Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) Ability to type 35 wpm Bi-lingual a plus We offer a salary commensurate with experience and a competitive benefits package that includes company subsidized medical premiums.
