Full-Time About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Roslyn, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled trial attorney who is passionate about representing injured clients and has the ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from case inception through trial. The ideal candidate will have significant Plaintiffs' Personal Injury trial experience. However, candidates with Personal Injury Defense litigation experience will also be considered. Key Responsibilities- Independently manage a caseload of Personal Injury litigation matters from inception through trial.
- Develop litigation strategies and evaluate liability, damages, and settlement opportunities.
- Prepare and conduct jury and bench trials, including jury selection, witness examinations, and closing arguments.
- Appear in state and federal courts for conferences, hearings, oral arguments, and other proceedings.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, dispositive motions, motions in limine, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients during mediations and settlement conferences.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case strategy and progress.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure matters are handled efficiently and deadlines are met. Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of New York, in good standing.
- Admission to the Eastern and/or Southern District of New York is preferred.
- Significant experience handling Plaintiffs' Personal Injury litigation is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with Personal Injury Defense litigation experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing cases through trial.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
