2988256915-2 Apply for this job now Job Description American Honda Motor Co., Inc. seeks a senior-level in-house Counsel III to support its U.S. manufacturing and mobility operations. This role provides strategic legal guidance on complex commercial, manufacturing, and regulatory matters affecting Honda and Acura products. You will draft and negotiate critical supply, technology, and distribution agreements; advise leaders on risk, compliance, and product-related issues; and manage outside counsel on disputes. In Honda's innovation-driven, quality-focused culture, you'll collaborate with diverse teams, shape policies, support sustainability and safety initiatives, and mentor junior legal staff while enabling responsible business growth. Responsibilities Provide complex legal counsel on manufacturing, distribution, and commercial matters for Honda's U. S. operations Draft, review, and negotiate high-value commercial, supply, and technology contracts Advise on regulatory, compliance, and product-related legal issues affecting manufacturing and sales Partner with executives and business leaders to assess legal risk and develop practical solutions Manage outside counsel and coordinate litigation or disputes as needed Support policy development, compliance programs, and training for business units Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting manufacturing and mobility products Develop strategies to mitigate legal exposure while enabling business objectives Support cross-functional initiatives in sustainability, safety, and innovation Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to best-practice standards within the legal department Required Skills Commercial contract drafting and negotiation Regulatory and compliance analysis Manufacturing and supply chain legal knowledge Risk assessment and mitigation Corporate governance and policy development Litigation management and coordination with outside counsel Regulatory research and legal writing Stakeholder and executive advising Training and compliance program development Project and matter management
