Join our dynamic legal team as an Associate Attorney specializing in Medical Malpractice Defense. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert legal counsel, develop strategic defense strategies, and advocate for clients facing complex medical malpractice claims. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements. Draft, review, and revise legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests with precision and clarity. Prepare for trial by organizing case files, developing arguments, and coordinating depositions and witness interviews. Manage cases related to medical malpractice by evaluating evidence, consulting medical experts, and formulating defense tactics. Participate in court depositions, negotiations, and settlement discussions to advocate effectively on behalf of clients. Maintain detailed case management records, ensuring all documentation aligns with legal standards and deadlines. Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates, gather information, and clarify case developments while maintaining confidentiality.
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of procedural law, statutory research, and general & commercial litigation practices. Proven experience in medical malpractice defense, employment law cases, and related litigation processes. Strong legal writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive motions and comprehensive legal memoranda. Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis to support case development. Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate favorable settlements or plea agreements when appropriate. Familiarity with court depositions, trial preparation techniques, and legal motion procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, judges, and opposing counsel in high-pressure situations.
