Responsibilities The Corporate Counsel will serve as an entry level in-house generalist for the Law Department, supporting senior in-house legal counsel in managing legal matters for MSA and its global subsidiaries. This role will report to the Associate General Counsel - Litigation and Risk and will primarily advise and assist on product liability litigation, as well as emerging laws and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience who wants to join a high-performing, collegial law department and develop in-house skills while playing a meaningful role in litigation management. The successful candidate will be a team player who is willing to contribute across priorities to support a lean legal team, exercising independent judgment and strategic thinking, and becoming a trusted advisor to the business. The role will also focus on identifying and implementing process improvements that strengthen the litigation function and support the Company.
Responsibilities Include:
Litigation and Risk Assist with litigation and related matters affecting the Company and its subsidiaries. Support senior in-house and outside counsel by helping to develop and execute product liability case strategy, evaluating risk, and preparing recommendations and proactive counseling for business stakeholders. Coordinate and manage discovery activities, including document preservation, collection, review workflows, and production processes; partner with internal functions (eDiscovery/IT, records, compliance, operations) to ensure timely and defensible responses.
