Role Description This is a full-time, in-person position for a Civil Litigation Attorney in our Philadelphia or Norristown office. The position involves a broad range of civil matters, including commercial litigation, business disputes, contractual matters, and transactional work. The attorney will be responsible for handling matters through all stages of litigation, including case evaluation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, hearings, and trial preparation, as well as assisting clients with commercial and transactional matters. The firm is seeking an attorney with at least one year of relevant legal experience who is prepared to take an active role in managing cases and working directly with clients. The position includes significant paralegal support and the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators across the firm's practice groups. Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of civil litigation and commercial matters from initial evaluation through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, agreements, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and develop litigation and case strategies. Handle all aspects of discovery, including document review and production, written discovery, and depositions. Prepare for and participate in court conferences, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, and trials. Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy, developments, objectives, and resolution. Investigate and evaluate factual and legal issues relevant to client matters. Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients. Assist clients with commercial, contractual, business, and transactional matters, including drafting and reviewing agreements and related documents. Work collaboratively with partners, associates, paralegals, experts, and other professionals in developing and advancing matters. Maintain responsibility for deadlines, filings, case management, and the efficient progression of assigned matters. Participate in business development and client relationship efforts and contribute to the continued growth of the firm's civil and commercial practice.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law, preferably involving civil litigation, commercial matters, or transactional work. Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. New Jersey admission is preferred but not required. Experience with civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, legal research, motion practice, and case management. Interest or experience in commercial litigation, business matters, contracts, and transactional work. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage matters while working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
