Job Description

Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney or Partner to join the General Liability/Medical Malpractice group in our Scranton, PA office. The individual will be responsible for handling a wide range of general liability, defense litigation matters.
Responsibilities:
Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct well-reasoned legal research. Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, take depositions, and participate in arbitrations and trials. Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel while adhering to all deadlines. Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc. Ability to work on-site in Scranton, PA office.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience, preferably in general liability defense litigation. Medical malpractice experience a plus. J.D. from an accredited law school. PA active and good standing bar license, required. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated interest in liability defense.
