As an Assistant General Counsel, you will work closely with our sales and partnerships teams across all levels of the organization. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Key responsibilities include negotiating customer contracts, channel agreements, strategic partnerships, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. What Will You Do?
Primary responsibilities include:
Take full ownership of commercial legal matters and strategic initiatives from start to finish, rather than managing only specific tasks within a deal. Negotiate complex, high-value agreements with customers, channel partners, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders. Lead senior-level commercial and legal discussions, representing Legal in executive-facing interactions and contributing to broader business strategy. Provide business-savvy, solution-oriented legal advice on a wide range of issues including commercial transactions, privacy, regulatory, and compliance matters. Exercise sound judgment in applying and adapting legal playbooks, including where deviations are appropriate based on risk analysis as allowed. Partner closely with revenue operations, sales operations, deal desk, product, privacy, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with internal policies and risk thresholds. Drive internal legal initiatives and lead cross-functional projects, including process improvements, training programs, and policy development. Support, mentor, and help train junior legal team members and new hires, contributing to the growth and maturity of the legal function. What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?
