We have partnered with an established, well-regarded New Jersey law firm that is actively hiring an Insurance Defense Attorney for its Sewell, NJ Office . This is an opportunity for an Attorney with approximately 4-7 years of experience to join a collaborative litigation practice handling a broad range of insurance defense and self-insured matters throughout New Jersey. What You'll Be Doing The Attorney will handle a diverse caseload involving insurance defense and self-insured matters, with exposure to areas such as: Premises liability Transportation and motor vehicle litigation General liability Utility litigation Catastrophic loss matters Dram shop liability Negligent security Construction defect Umbrella and excess matters Other civil litigation matters involving insurers and self-insured clients Responsibilities may include managing matters from inception through resolution, conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions, communicating with clients and claims professionals, participating in court proceedings, and working toward efficient resolution of assigned matters. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: 4-7 years of legal experience , preferably in insurance defense or a closely related civil litigation practice Active New Jersey Bar admission Strong knowledge of New Jersey laws, court procedures, and litigation practices Demonstrated experience managing a litigation caseload with increasing levels of responsibility Strong legal research, writing, analytical and advocacy skills The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with partners, associates and support professionals Strong client communication and case-management skills Candidates with experience in premises liability, transportation, general liability, construction defect or other insurance defense litigation are particularly encouraged to apply.
