Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated Junior Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in a full-time, hybrid capacity in Whippany, NJ . This role offers an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with 1 to 5 years of dedicated family law and litigation experience who can independently manage a robust caseload from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of family law, demonstrate exceptional research and organizational abilities, and excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Along with some trial experience, we highly value strong interpersonal and writing skills. Key Responsibilities Caseload management : Manage and litigate a caseload of 25+ active family law matters simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. End-to-end litigation : Handle all aspects of family law cases, including drafting motions, managing discovery, executing negotiations, and leading trials. Client advocacy : Collaborate with clients to develop tailored legal solutions that align with their goals while managing risk effectively. Courtroom representation : Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations with confidence and professionalism. Case complex leadership : Assist in leading complex cases, provide strategic counsel, and maintain precise case documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards. Professional communication : Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. Firm collaboration : Contribute to a positive, team-oriented office culture and support the overall growth of our legal services.
Qualifications Experience :
1to 5 years of family law experience as a junior attorney or similar role within a reputable family law environment. Bar admission : Active NJ Bar license is strictly required .
Education :
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD) are required . Trial skills : Proven trial experience and a strong, confident courtroom presence. Core competencies : Exceptional legal writing, strong negotiation skills, and efficient legal administrative capabilities.
