The role involves healthcare litigation, administrative appeals, government investigations, regulatory/compliance matters, and outside general counsel work. Healthcare Litigation Attorney About the Firm A premier Boston boutique law firm is seeking a talented Healthcare Litigation Attorney to join its growing Health & Human Services and Litigation practices. The firm represents nonprofit, for-profit, and public-sector clients across healthcare, civil litigation, employment, real estate, affordable housing, nonprofit, and education law. Position Overview The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of litigation experience, with healthcare experience preferred. The attorney will work with sophisticated clients across the healthcare continuum, including health systems, hospitals, physician networks, federally qualified health centers, behavioral health organizations, home-based providers, and senior living communities. Key Responsibilities Handle litigation in state and federal courts, as well as mediation and arbitration. Conduct depositions, draft briefs, and respond to subpoenas. Assist with internal investigations and state and federal government investigations. Handle administrative litigation, including rate and audit appeals, licensing matters, and sanctions appeals. Represent licensed healthcare professionals before licensing boards. Advise clients on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters. Assist clients with incident response, risk management, and other practical legal matters. Work collaboratively with attorneys specializing in investigations, licensing, certification, and healthcare transactions. Develop a strong understanding of clients' business objectives and provide practical, actionable legal advice. Qualifications 3-10 years of litigation experience. Healthcare litigation or healthcare regulatory experience preferred. Experience with depositions, brief writing, investigations, and subpoena responses. Strong academic credentials and excellent legal research and writing skills. Excellent client communication and analytical abilities. Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Massachusetts Bar admission or eligibility to waive into Massachusetts.
