We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented California attorney to join our growing foreclosure and litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex legal matters from inception through resolution while working alongside an experienced team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants. Primary Responsibilities Handle non-judicial foreclosure matters from referral through completion. Manage judicial foreclosure actions and related litigation. Represent clients in California Superior Court proceedings, including court appearances, hearings, and case management conferences. Draft pleadings, motions, oppositions, discovery, legal correspondence, settlement agreements, and other related documents. Prepare legal opinions and provide strategic guidance to clients regarding foreclosure, title, and collection matters. Review foreclosure documents for legal sufficiency prior to recording. Analyze title reports and resolve title issues and ownership discrepancies. Oversee foreclosure timelines to ensure compliance with California statutory requirements. Collaborate with clients, trustees, title companies, and opposing counsel to efficiently resolve legal matters. Support a team of paralegals and legal assistants throughout the foreclosure and litigation process. Maintain accurate case management and ensure timely handling of deadlines and court requirements. Qualifications Active membership in the California State Bar (Required) Minimum of 3 years of litigation, foreclosure, creditor rights, real estate, collections, or related legal experience preferred Experience handling California Superior Court litigation Knowledge of California judicial and non-judicial foreclosure procedures preferred Familiarity with title review, lien priority, and real property law Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active matters Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Comfortable utilizing legal technology and case management systems Why Join Alterra Assessment Recovery?
