Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will lead complex bankruptcy cases, provide expert legal counsel to clients facing financial distress, and navigate the intricacies of federal bankruptcy laws. Your expertise will help clients achieve debt relief while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and possesses a comprehensive understanding of various legal disciplines, including estate planning, litigation, and research. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding clients through challenging financial situations with confidence and clarity. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including filings, negotiations, and court appearances. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies. Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, schedules, motions, and discharge papers with precision and clarity. Advise clients on debt restructuring options, asset protection strategies, and compliance with federal bankruptcy laws. Collaborate with colleagues on cases involving estate planning, family law, securities law, and other relevant legal areas to provide comprehensive counsel. Negotiate settlements with creditors and represent clients in court hearings to advocate for their best interests. Maintain detailed case records and ensure all legal administrative processes are efficiently managed. Experience Proven experience practicing bankruptcy law with a strong understanding of federal bankruptcy code and procedures. Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation cases involving multiple legal disciplines such as environmental law, tribal law & regulations, or personal injury law. Skilled in legal research tools like Westlaw and LexisNexis for effective case preparation. Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation for court submissions. Prior experience working in a law office environment with familiarity in legal administrative processes is preferred. Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders. $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
