Job Description

Slonim Law is a well-established and expanding law firm seeking an experienced business/corporate lawyer to join our team as an associate attorney. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, detail-oriented and strategic legal professional with expertise in corporate and business law, with an interest in supporting our firm's other primary practice areas of advanced estate planning, guardianship, Medicaid asset preservation planning, and probate/trust administration. This role is generally remote, but must be able to meet clients in the Melbourne, FL office as needed. Compensation is based on percentage of direct revenue generated. Objectives of this role Providing legal advice and support on various corporate and business matters, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and intellectual property. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various business agreements, including partnership agreements, employment contracts, and vendor agreements. Ensuring the client's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including corporate governance, employment law, and data protection. Representing the client in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and negotiations with regulatory authorities. Advising senior management on legal risks and providing strategic solutions to mitigate potential legal issues. Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends. Business Development for the firm to increase this practice area. Required skills and qualifications 3-5 years of experience in corporate or business law and working with corporate clients either as solo practitioner or in a small firm. Minimum $100,000 revenue generation in the last calendar year that can carry with you. Default Requirements Strong understanding of corporate governance, contract law, employment law, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property in the business context. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice with legal drafting and negotiation skills. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
