Senior Attorney - Real Estate and Civil Litigation Our client, a boutique law firm and is now accepting applications for a senior level litigation associate to join a team of experienced attorneys. The job is Hybrid with occasional court appearances in the Bay Area. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Represent clients in: o Landlord-tenant disputes, evictions, lease agreements, partition actions, quiet title, and other real estate-related cases. o Business-related litigation matters, including contract disputes.

Case Management:

Oversee and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines.

Drafting:

Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.

Legal Research:

Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

Depositions:

Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses, clients, and experts to gather relevant information and evidence. Prepare witnesses for depositions and provide guidance on effective testimony.

Communications:

Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their cases.

ADR:

Negotiate settlements and facilitate alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate.

Appearances:

Appear and represent clients in court hearings, trials, and administrative hearings (Rent Boards).

Collaboration:

Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies and ensure smooth case management and client service.

Continuing Education:

Engage in continuing legal education and professional development opportunities. Stay up to date with the latest legal developments and precedents in the relevant practice areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school Active license to practice law in California, and in good standing 5+ years of experience in litigation 1+ years of experience in litigation related to real estate matters (preference for landlord-tenant litigation) Preference for candidates with experience in landlord-tenant matters in San Francisco, Berkeley, or Oakland Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor Maintain confidentiality in all client matters Ability to work independently and engage critical-thinking skills Exceptional research and writing skills Exceptional organizational skills Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and prioritize workload efficiently. Collaborative team player who thrives in a small office setting. Advanced software skills and proficiency
