Job Summary Deputy General Counsel

Our client is a high-performing investment firm with a strong international presence. Their portfolio spans across multiple continents, featuring a diverse array of property types including commercial, residential, and industrial real estate. They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Deputy General Counsel to join their legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice and support on a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development projects.

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of transactional documents, such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, joint venture agreements, and financing documents.

Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, identifying and mitigating potential legal risks.

Collaborate with external legal counsel and coordinate their involvement as necessary.

Advise on regulatory compliance and keep abreast of relevant legal developments affecting the real estate industry.

Support the General Counsel and senior management in strategic decision-making processes.

Develop and implement best practices for the legal department and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the bar in any US stateA minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in transactional real estate law, with a strong background in handling complex real estate transactions.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-pacedExcellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
