Job Description
Employment Litigation Attorney (Spokane) Our Employment Litigation team is seeking an experienced Attorney to handle complex plaintiff-side employment matters, including Wage & Hour Class Actions and individual employment litigation . This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about advocating for employees. The ideal candidate will have experience managing employment litigation matters from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. Experience with class and representative actions is highly desirable. What You'll Do Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment litigation matters. Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other substantive legal filings. Conduct and defend depositions, including party and witness depositions. Handle all phases of written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests. Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal as necessary. Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage cases. Communicate with clients and provide regular updates regarding case status and strategy. Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, as appropriate. What We're Looking For J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Oregon or Washington (admission in both states is a plus). 4+ years of employment litigation experience, preferably on the plaintiff side. Experience in employment practice focused on Wage & Hour Class Actions and single plaintiff employment litigation Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and mediation. Trial experience or substantial trial preparation experience is highly preferred. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage multiple matters while working collaboratively within a team environment. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with case management platforms such as Litify or similar systems is a plus. Spanish fluency is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
