We may be exactly what you're looking for. Imagine a firm where you have autonomy over your cases and leadership supports your professional development by focusing on your strengths to help you build a niche you love within the firm. Now, imagine that you can do that while working from home during regular business hours. No clients calling you after hours. Your boss isn't texting you late at night. You get to enjoy your weekends and look forward to Monday mornings. The traditional law firm playbook wasn't written with modern attorneys - or women - in mind. So, we rewrote it. And we're looking for more like-minded individuals to join our team. Who We Are A Dallas-Fort Worth based boutique family law firm representing women through divorce. A little bit about how we operate: We don't believe "attorneys who do it all" is a sustainable model. It's a formula for burnout. We built a division of labor where every person focuses on what they do best. We're named a "Best Place for Working Parents". Many of us are moms who value flexibility and autonomy. We're resolution focused and reserve litigation for when it moves a case forward. We screen our clients and set boundaries with them. Clients don't call your cell, and you're not tied to your email 24/7. You work from wherever you want but have offices available when you need them. You can take a 2 pm doctor's appointment without asking permission. We trust you to manage your time appropriately. When a case goes sideways, you bring it to Wednesday office hours and the whole team works it with you. Deadlines rarely arrive as emergencies, because we plan ahead. Calendaring is our love language. We live by planners and task lists. When you want a certification or professional development, we help pay for it and give you the time off to prepare. When we do a team event, we do things like spa days, glass blowing, and trips to the Hill Country. However, our firm is not for everyone. We have high expectations for ourselves and for those we invite in. You will be expected to carry your weight and add value to the firm. The Work You'll own your caseload and make strategic calls on it: Read each case and decide whether it resolves through negotiation or needs to be tried. Lead mediations and adversarial negotiations. Argue contested hearings, temporary orders, and trials when the case calls for it. Take depositions and prepare witnesses. Manage clients through the hardest year of their lives — set expectations, hold the line, and say "no" when "no" is the right answer. Guide clients through testimony using trauma-informed care. Review and revise motions drafted by your paralegal. Draft pleadings and orders or delegate drafting to someone who enjoys it more. What you WON'T do: Collections, initial consultations, intake calls, payroll, vendors, technology, firm administration, sitting alone with a case you're unsure about, or pretending to enjoy every part of practicing family law. What We're Looking For Active Texas law license, or documented Texas reciprocity in process. At least three (3) years of direct family law experience — enough reps to know what a case is worth and where it's going with minimal supervision. Real experience on both sides of the line: negotiated resolutions and contested hearings. Composure in the courtroom - you don't have to love trial work, but you do have to be ready for it and lean into it when necessary. Strong client management — the ability to hold a frightened client steady and tell her something she doesn't want to hear. Willingness to adopt our systems. Direct, respectful, honest communication. Emotional intelligence and healthy professional boundaries. A genuine commitment to supporting women through divorce.
