Job Description Manage your own caseload involving divorce, legal separation, parentage, child custody, child support, spousal support, and other family law matters. Handle cases from intake and initial strategy through negotiation, litigation, and resolution. Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, legal research, and other case-related documents. Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and other litigation matters. Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel while providing high-level, responsive client service. Work closely with an assigned paralegal to coordinate case strategy, deadlines, filings, and day-to-day case management. Handle complex and high-net-worth family law matters, including contested custody and support issues and restraining order matters. Advocate for clients while maintaining strong ethical standards, sound legal judgment, and attention to detail. Independently prioritize multiple matters, meet deadlines, and maintain organized case files and billing practices. Qualifications 2+ years of family law experience Active California Bar license and good standing. Established commitment to practicing family law. Experience managing family law matters from start to finish. Strong litigation, legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills. Comfortable appearing in court and advocating for clients.
