In this pivotal role, you will provide expert support in family law cases, ensuring smooth case management and efficient client communication. Your expertise will help facilitate complex legal processes, draft essential documents, and coordinate with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful family law cases while honing your legal support skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Manage and organize case files related to family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and adoption cases, utilizing legal case management systems. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements with precision and attention to detail. Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies. Assist attorneys with client interviews, gathering relevant information, and preparing case summaries for review. Coordinate court filings, schedule hearings, and ensure all procedural deadlines are met efficiently. Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while maintaining organized document management through systems like iManage and PCLaw. Provide administrative support including calendar management, correspondence drafting, and maintaining communication with clients and external parties. Requirements 3 years proven paralegal experience with a strong background in family law; familiarity with estate planning, tribal law & regulations, and personal injury law is a plus. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with PCLaw or similar case management software is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and professional correspondence. Knowledge of procedural law and civil litigation support processes within a law office setting. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Exceptional research skills combined with meticulous proofreading and legal drafting capabilities. Ability to provide exceptional client communication while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
