This is a predominantly remote position with occasional onsite court hearings in Newark, NJ. Bilingual candidates preferred. Compensation includes base salary plus commission. The ideal candidate will have experience with removal/deportation proceedings, habeas corpus litigation, legal research and drafting, and a strong commitment to client advocacy. Responsibilities Represent clients in removal proceedings, including hearings and appeals, and handle habeas corpus and other immigration-related litigation Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents Develop case strategy through client interviews, legal analysis, and negotiation with government agencies Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications while keeping clients informed of their rights and case status Requirements JD from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar 1-3 years of immigration law experience, preferably in removal/deportation proceedings Strong knowledge of immigration statutes and procedural law Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively Bilingual proficiency preferred If you are passionate about immigration law and advocacy and want to make a meaningful impact while continuing to develop your legal career, we would like to hear from you.
