Insurance Coverage / Bad Faith Defense Litigator (5+ Years) Kansas City, MO (Preferred) | St. Louis, MO (Possible) | Hybrid A well-established litigation boutique with approximately 200 employees is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage / Bad Faith Defense Attorney to join its Kansas City office . Candidates in St. Louis will also be considered. This is a hybrid position offering significant responsibility, autonomy, and long-term growth. Position Overview The firm is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of experience handling insurance coverage and bad faith litigation defense matters who can independently manage complex cases while collaborating with a sophisticated litigation team. Key Responsibilities Independently manage files through all stages of litigation, both autonomously and as part of a case team Conduct fact investigations Handle document productions and discovery Prepare witnesses for depositions Take and defend depositions Draft pleadings, briefs, and motions Review and analyze insurance policies, contracts, and related legal documents Prepare detailed insurance coverage opinions Prepare for and attend court hearings Trial preparation and attendance Qualifications 5+ years of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation defense experience Licensed in Missouri and Illinois or Kansas Experience with insurance policy review and coverage analysis Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently on complex matters Strong legal research and writing skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Basic and voluntary life insurance Long-term disability insurance 401(k) with employer matching For more information call Jessica at 605-705-4855 or email resume to jessica.rehder@gogpac.com
