Job Description
General Liability Litigation Attorney - California (Hybrid) A respected client firm is seeking a General Liability Litigation Attorney to join its California team. This role offers the opportunity to handle a dynamic litigation caseload while working alongside an experienced legal team committed to delivering high-quality representation to clients across the state. The position follows a hybrid schedule (2 days in office) and provides strong professional growth opportunities for motivated litigators. Position Overview The selected attorney will independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, represent clients in a variety of proceedings, and provide strategic legal guidance across general liability matters including product liability, transportation, aviation, and premises liability . Key Responsibilities Manage a full litigation caseload, handling matters from initial investigation through trial preparation and resolution Represent local and national clients throughout California Conduct and defend depositions; prepare fact and expert witnesses for deposition and trial Draft, review, and respond to discovery, pleadings, and motions Prepare and file court documents, including e-filings and service to counsel Support trial strategy, preparation, and courtroom proceedings Maintain accurate billing and case documentation Perform legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client advisement Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to meet client objectives Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active admission to practice in California 3+ years of litigation experience in general liability or related areas (product liability, transportation, aviation, premises liability) Demonstrated experience with motion practice, depositions, and case management Ability to independently manage deadlines and competing priorities Strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills Compensation Salary commensurate with experience , along with a competitive benefits package and opportunities for continued professional development.
