Job Description Handle insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, reports, and other litigation documents. Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and discovery-related motions. Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations. Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation risks and assist with developing case strategy. Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders. Assist with cases involving negligence, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, professional malpractice, construction litigation, and related defense matters. Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and reporting requirements. Work closely with senior attorneys and the broader legal team to advance matters efficiently and effectively. Qualifications 2+ years of litigation experience. At least 1 year of defense negligence and/or insurance defense experience. Active New York bar admission in good standing. Experience with discovery, legal research, and motion practice. Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
