Role Description The Insurance Professional role is a full-time hybrid position based in Sugar Land, TX, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role involves advising individuals and businesses on insurance solutions, helping them understand coverage options, and aligning products with their financial protection needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, conducting needs analyses, preparing and presenting proposals, and assisting with policy applications and enrollments. The Insurance Professional will respond to customer inquiries, provide ongoing service for existing policies, and collaborate with internal teams and brokerage partners to ensure accurate, timely information. The role also includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Colonial Life products, industry regulations, and best practices, while consistently documenting activities in CRM or other systems. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Insurance and Insurance Brokerage skills, with knowledge of products such as disability, life, accident, and supplemental health benefits. Candidates should possess foundational Finance skills, including understanding of financial protection concepts and basic budgeting or risk management principles. Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build long-term client relationships. Relevant state insurance licensing (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) and prior experience in insurance, financial services, or employee benefits are beneficial. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a hybrid environment that includes both in-office and remote work are beneficial. Proficiency with common office software, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms, along with a commitment to ethical standards and compliance, are beneficial.
