The OpportunityWe are seeking a high-caliber International Trade Associate Attorney with 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in trade remedies and border compliance. In this role, you will work directly alongside market-leading practitioners on complex administrative proceedings before federal agencies and litigate high-profile appeals before federal courts.

This position offers significant hands-on responsibility from day one, including drafting agency briefs, analyzing complex cost-accounting data, and interfacing directly with key decision-makers and foreign client executives.

Key ResponsibilitiesAntidumping & Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD)

Defense:

Represent clients in complex AD/CVD investigations, administrative reviews, scope rulings, and changed circumstances reviews before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC).

Federal Appellate Litigation:

Draft briefs and pleadings for proceedings before the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC).

Customs Enforcement & Tariffs:

Counsel clients on trade policy enforcement, including Section 301 and Section 232 tariff regimes, country-of-origin determinations, valuation, classification, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enforcement actions.

Supply Chain & Regulatory Compliance:

Advise global clients on emerging supply chain compliance issues, including forced labor regulations (UFLPA) and environmental/product safety standards.

Qualifications & Ideal BackgroundJ.D. from an accredited law school with stellar academic credentials.

Bar Admission:

Active member in good standing of the District of Columbia Bar (or eligible for immediate waiver).

Experience:

2 to 6 years of practice focused on international trade law, with emphasis on trade remedy administrative proceedings (AD/CVD).

Technical Skills:

Exceptional brief-writing, statutory analysis, and quantitative aptitude (comfort analyzing accounting, financial, and pricing data).

Preferred Backgrounds:

Experience gained within a recognized law firm trade practice, or prior agency experience with the U.S. Department of Commerce (ITA/Chief Counsel for Trade Enforcement & Compliance), USITC, CBP, or judicial clerkships at the CIT/CAFC.Why Join Us?
