Job Description
About the Position We are seeking an experienced New York-licensed Trial Attorney with 5+ years of experience handling New York Labor Law and construction injury matters to join our litigation team. This is a fully remote trial attorney position offering the flexibility of working remotely while requiring periodic check-ins at our Garden City or White Plains office, as well as court appearances and other in-person obligations as necessary. The ideal candidate is an accomplished litigator who can independently manage complex Labor Law and construction-related personal injury matters from inception through trial. Responsibilities Handle Labor Law §§ 240(1), 241(6), and 200 matters. Manage construction injury and related personal injury litigation from inception through trial. Conduct depositions, examinations before trial, motion practice, court conferences, and settlement negotiations. Develop litigation strategy and case evaluations. Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery demands/responses, mediation submissions, and trial materials. Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, contractors, subcontractors, witnesses, and experts. Appear in state and federal courts as appropriate. Work closely with clients, claims professionals, experts, and other attorneys. Maintain an active caseload and independently manage litigation deadlines. Qualifications Active New York State Bar license required. 5+ years of Labor Law litigation experience. Significant experience handling construction accident/injury matters. Strong deposition, motion practice, negotiation, and trial skills. Ability to independently manage a substantial litigation caseload. Excellent legal research, writing, communication, and organizational skills. Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment. Willingness and ability to periodically check into the Garden City or White Plains office and attend required court appearances.
